How To Connect Launchpad To Garageband On Mac

Nov 29, 2016 So recently I just downloaded the Novation Launchpad on my iPad, but I plan on using it on my Mac's garageband. How do I set it up so that the two devices can be connected, and therefore play music using the two devices? Is ere an option to connect an external sound device for GarageBand Mac? This causes odd behavior, such as Devices not being available for use in programs, missing ports, Automap Buttons not working or connecting. This has now been found on a number of different MIDI Devices including Impulse, SL MkII, Launchpad S, Launchkey, etc. If your USB MIDI Controller is not working on a Mac please check the following.
