Supported Controllers. Serato have begun working in supporting third party players/controllers with the Scratch Live software. These controllers are 'natively' supported and do not require the use of the timecode CDs, all playback and control information is sent over USB. The following are the currently supported native controllers: Denon DN.

• The original and unrivaled vinyl emulation software for professional DJs. Scratch Live is vinyl emulation software that operates exclusively with Rane hardware. Mix and scratch digital music on your computer with Serato Control Vinyl or Control CDs.
• Serato DJ is a digital vinyl emulation program that enables you to mix your music with up to 4 decks for supported controllers. Scratch Live is a vinyl.
• In the standard configuration of Scratch Live an analogue audio source (turnable / CDJ) sends the Scratch Live control signal into a Rane Scratch Live hardware device, where it is digitized, sent to the Scratch Live software and used to control playback of a digital audio file.
• MIDI control can interface USB controllers with Scratch Live. DJ controller support will vary. Check the latest notes at serato.com for supported controllers. Built-in help and tips in multiple languages are accessible anytime. There is even a low power warning when running off a laptop battery.
• Scratch Live was originally only available, and compatible, with Rane hardware but since opening the platform to other manufacturers Serato DJ is now supported by Pioneer DJ, Allen & Heath, Denon and Reloop hardware to name just a few. This compatibility means that when you progress beyond your first controller the options are huge.

Scratch Live 2.5 Bug Fixes

Alongside these key features Scratch Live 2.5 also includes bug fixes to continue the unparalleled level of stability and performance that Serato software is known for.

Some examples of the bug fixes are:

• Mixtape .als recordings now work with Ableton Live 9.
• Fixed a bug where the beatgrid lock wasn't being saved and loaded to/from the file; it was only being saved to the database.
• The Sixty-Eight record source is now correctly loaded from preferences.
• Fixed a bug where the CDJ-350 was sending both MIDI and HID messages which meant it could possibly fire two different Scratch Live events at the same time.
• Fixed a bug where the DJFX deck assignments wouldn't save to preferences if going from being 'on' initially, to 'off'.
